Marketing Manager

Own how Legacy of the Horizon reaches its audience and turns into paying tables. You are the publisher of record for everything the studio's agents put into the world.

Full-TimeRemote (US)Pay Tied to the Outcomes You Own

The role

Legacy of the Horizon is a hard science-fiction tabletop RPG. It is built on more than a decade of one author's writing, and it is played in a living web galaxy where Game Masters run their tables. An engine and AI agents build the galaxy and its tools. The canon is the author's own words. Game Masters pay, and they bring their players with them.

The studio can produce marketing at any volume. Credibility is what is scarce. The tabletop hobby trusts people, and it punishes AI-made product that pretends to be something else. You own how the studio's worlds reach their audience, and you are the publisher of record for everything its agents put into the world.

What you own

  • Brand, launch, growth and revenue for:
    • the Legacy of the Horizon platform;
    • the publishing line: rulebook, Collector's Edition and modules;
    • every later studio title.
  • The provenance story. You tell it honestly: the canon is the author's own words, and the galaxy is built by the engine and the agents.
  • What ships. You own messaging, campaigns and creative, and you sign off marketing assets as the studio's named operator.
  • Channels and spend, within the budget the founder sets.
  • The creator, influencer and referral program, including the agreements behind it.
  • Press and conventions, in person.
  • Voice talent. Voice-over is pre-recorded, never generated live. When the studio records voice-over for modules, lore or trailers, you cast and contract the performers.

Pricing, canon, rights terms and acceptance of in-game art stay with the founder.

Your AI workforce

You direct this fleet of about a hundred agents, and you design it: which agents run, what each may do without asking, and what comes to you. The fleet is sized by the outcome, not by a headcount.

  • Brand and creative studio:
    • trailers captured from the game engine;
    • key art and store assets;
    • copy;
    • the studio's typeface and brand system;
    • localization.
  • Channel operations: social, newsletters, search and paid media.
  • Creator and press desk: research, outreach drafts, the press kit, and creator and referral codes with attribution.
  • Funnel and commerce analytics within the founder's pricing tiers.
  • Launch and release operations for every module, edition and title.
  • Market intelligence on competing platforms and on how players feel about AI.

The agents produce at volume. You review their work, decide what goes out under the studio's name, sign the partnerships, and answer for every word and image.

What great looks like

  • More Game Masters running paid tables in the living galaxy, and keeping them running.
  • Creators and press who trust the studio because it has never misled them.
  • Marketing that looks like it came from people who love the game.
  • Revenue that grows from tables, not from discounts.

Who you are

  • You have already run marketing at the scale of a team by directing AI, and you can show it: the campaigns, what the agents produced, and what you rejected.
  • You know tabletop RPG and game culture from the inside: creators, actual-play shows, conventions and forums.
  • You have taste. You can tell good key art from generic art, and you say so.
  • You can be honest about AI with an audience that distrusts it.
  • You build relationships with creators that outlast a single campaign.

Compensation

You are paid for the outcomes this seat owns. The amount, the company that pays it, and how it ties to those outcomes are set in writing before any offer.
