The role
Kuykendall Industries owns the intellectual property behind its companies, and much of its income comes from licensing that property. Its main assets:
- MABOS, its architecture for persistent AI minds, licensed exclusively to Ceridwen.ai.
- FORGE, self-hosted HR and governance software sold to institutions.
- Annex, self-hosted community software.
- HARDGAP, a titanium card that signs transactions offline and works as an identity card.
AI agents do almost all of the company's work. They cannot hold a bar license, sign for a company or appear before a court or regulator. You can. You are the lawyer for the parent and for every company it owns, and the officer who keeps their rights intact.
What you own
- The licensing estate:
- the exclusive MABOS license to Ceridwen.ai and its revocation terms;
- the terms every commercial MABOS sublicense must carry, including the Civic Dividend, and enforcement of the free noncommercial license;
- commercial terms for FORGE, the KI Store, HARDGAP, and Annex hosting and resale.
- Contributor rights. You make every outside contribution to a KI product arrive under a signed assignment, as Annex already requires, so KI can resell, host and relicense its own work. No agent and no document edit narrows that.
- Inbound rights. The data, curriculum, font and model licenses the products depend on, including the rights and privacy clearance every MABOS training example needs before it is admitted.
- Entity governance. Operating agreements, intercompany licenses and the legal form of each venture.
- Regulatory and dispute defense across AI, privacy, consumer, employment, export and money-transmission law. This includes disputes from businesses named by QuoteChecker.ai, and legal demands for what a Ceridwen-hosted mind holds.
- Securities compliance for any capital raise at the level of a single venture, and the adviser and broker questions raised by licensing Project Sibyl, KI's market-research and trading-decision platform, to others.
- Succession instruments, so the authority the founder delegates keeps working if he is unavailable.
You sign within the rights policy the founder sets. Any change to what Kuykendall Industries owns, or to how its work may be licensed or reused, goes to him as a decision.
Your AI workforce
You direct this fleet of about a hundred agents, and you design it: which agents run, what each may do without asking, and what comes to you. The fleet is sized by the outcome, not by a headcount.
You run an in-house legal practice made of AI agents, at the scale a large company staffs with a department:
- Drafting and redline agents for every contract the portfolio signs, from pilots and reseller agreements to access contracts and employment paperwork.
- Rights and provenance agents that watch every company code repository and block any change that touches ownership or licensing.
- License-compliance and fork-detection agents, plus the revocation workflow for a licensee who breaks terms.
- Regulatory monitors for every market and regime the companies operate in.
- Filing, docketing and litigation-support agents.
You decide legal positions, you sign, and you answer for the result. You check the agents' work the way a partner checks an associate's: you set the standard, test the output and own what goes out. When a matter needs local counsel or a second opinion, you retain outside specialists and direct them.
What great looks like
- Every dollar Kuykendall Industries earns rests on a signed, enforceable right.
- No right leaks. Nothing merges, ships or publishes that narrows what the company owns or may license.
- Contracts close as fast as the agents prepare them, not at the pace of outside counsel.
- Regulators, courts and counterparties deal with one accountable lawyer who already knows the facts.
- The company's authority is documented well enough to survive the absence of any one person, including you.
Who you are
- You have already run legal work at the scale of a team by directing AI, and you can show it: the matters, the agent output, and what you caught before it went out.
- You are admitted to practice law in at least one US state and are in good standing.
- You know intellectual property and software licensing well enough to write a license that holds up, and to enforce one.
- You move across regulatory regimes with confidence, and you know when to bring in a specialist.
- You give clear answers: yes, no, or what it would take.
Compensation
You are paid for the outcomes this seat owns. The amount, the company that pays it, and how it ties to those outcomes are set in writing before any offer.
Kuykendall Industries is owned entirely by its founder and is permanently unavailable for outside equity, so this role carries no equity in Kuykendall Industries.
