Legacy of the Horizon
Community Manager
Full-Time | Remote (US) | Equity + Salary Upon Revenue
The Role
Discord. Reddit. Annex. Wherever LoTH players gather, you're there — setting the tone, surfacing the signal, moderating the discourse, and ensuring that the community reflects the universe it plays in. You're the connective tissue between the dev team and the tables.
What You'll Do
- Build and manage the LoTH community across Discord, Reddit, Annex, and social platforms
- Develop community guidelines that match the tone of the universe
- Surface player stories, campaign highlights, and community-created content for amplification
- Organize community events — one-shots, faction wars, build competitions, lore hunts
- Relay community feedback to the development and design teams
- Moderate with a light hand and a heavy commitment to keeping the vibe worth showing up for
Requirements
- 3+ years managing gaming or TTRPG communities
- Deep TTRPG experience. You've sat at tables and you understand the culture
- Written communication and conflict resolution skills
- Discord at scale. Server management for large, active communities
- You've built a community that people chose to be part of, not one they were stuck in
Compensation
All positions include equity in Kuykendall Industries. Salaries are TBD and will be determined based on role scope, experience, and what you bring to the table — literally and figuratively.
The Builder Clause
We don't care where you went to school. We don't care if you went to school. Our founder is self-taught, started coding at 13, and built a 602,000-line cognitive architecture and a 420,000-word universe without a CS degree or a creative writing MFA.
Meet the qualifications, or show us what you've built. Either path works. Both paths demand excellence.
