The role
Kuykendall Industries sells trust it can prove: encrypted records, cryptographic identity, and software that cannot see its customers' data. Its consumer products also carry duties the law assigns to a named person: protecting children's data, reporting abuse and answering regulators.
The AI workforce that builds a release must never hold the key that approves it, and a regulator will not accept a model as the responsible official. You hold both roles. You are Kuykendall Industries' independent root of trust and its named officer for security, privacy and user safety, serving the KI products and, by designation, QuoteChecker.ai. You sit outside every growth target, so the person who judges safety is never the person paid for growth.
What you own
- Root of trust. Together with the founder, you hold the offline root keys: license signing, HARDGAP firmware signing, and the root behind the autonomous release system's signing identities. Releases stay autonomous under an independent verifier; you run the key ceremonies with witnesses present.
- Independent assurance:
- you convene cryptographic setup ceremonies with genuinely independent participants;
- you commission outside security audits;
- you decide coordinated vulnerability disclosure and breach notification.
- User safety duties:
- Synaptary, the homeschool platform: verifiable parental consent and student privacy.
- weshowed, the no-swipe dating service: abuse-report handling, required dating-safety disclosures and response to in-person incidents.
- Every KI service that hosts user messages or uploads: the reports the law requires, including child-exploitation reports to NCMEC.
- Medical privacy at QuoteChecker.ai. You are its named privacy and security official, covering:
- patient data;
- business associate agreements;
- sign-off on de-identification;
- independent credentialed review of its medical billing rules.
- Consumer protection: subscription and auto-renewal rules, endorsement disclosure for creators, and substantiation of every public claim, including the contested-topic statements in Synaptary's curriculum that its claims check routes to a person.
- Legal process and regulators. With the General Counsel, you answer law enforcement and civil process, and you own correspondence with privacy regulators.
- Moderation policy for every community Kuykendall Industries operates.
You can stop any launch, claim or campaign that fails these duties.
Your AI workforce
You direct this fleet of about a hundred agents, and you design it: which agents run, what each may do without asking, and what comes to you. The fleet is sized by the outcome, not by a headcount.
- Security agents: red-teaming, fuzzing and audit preparation, plus supply-chain scanning on every release.
- Key agents that run key rotation and keep ceremony runbooks.
- Moderation and classifier fleets, with agents that triage incidents and assemble evidence.
- Privacy agents that verify consent and handle data-access and deletion requests.
- Claim-checking agents that test every outbound asset against the approved fact source.
- Compliance monitors for every state and country the products serve.
The agents detect, triage and prepare. You make the calls with legal consequences: what gets reported, who is removed, what is disclosed and what ships.
You check the fleet against real incidents and test whether it misses what matters. Credentialed reviewers, auditors and ceremony participants work under your direction as independent contractors, because their independence is the point.
What great looks like
- Nothing Kuykendall Industries ships is approved by the agents that built it, and every key behind that approval traces to a ceremony you witnessed.
- Every report the law requires goes out correctly and on time.
- Parents, patients and regulators trust the products enough to rely on them.
- No unsupported claim reaches the public.
- When something goes wrong, the response is fast, honest and documented.
Who you are
- You have already run security, privacy or trust-and-safety work at the scale of a team by directing AI, and you can show it: what the system caught, what it missed and what you decided.
- You have been the named official for privacy, security or safety, and you have made calls with legal consequences.
- You know applied cryptography well enough to run a key ceremony and to judge an audit.
- You know children's privacy, health privacy and consumer-protection law, or you can show that you learned a new regulatory regime quickly and correctly.
- You hold your position under commercial pressure.
Compensation
You are paid for the outcomes this seat owns. The amount, the company that pays it, and how it ties to those outcomes are set in writing before any offer.
Kuykendall Industries is owned entirely by its founder and is permanently unavailable for outside equity, so this role carries no equity in Kuykendall Industries.
