The role
Kuykendall Industries builds consumer products that grow through trust between people rather than through ads.
- weshowed is dating without swiping. Members get up to three AI-chosen matches a day and pay a commitment fee for each date, most of which is rebated once the date is verified in person. It only works where a city has enough of the right people.
- Synaptary is a parent-directed homeschool platform with an AI tutor that teaches only from its approved curriculum. Families find it through other families.
- Annex is KI's self-hosted chat platform. Monolith Index is its system for running communities. Both need a real person looking after the communities KI runs on them.
- Monolith Lighthouse is a membership institution KI runs, with admissions, signed decision records, member ballots and a public research archive. Its members need a person who answers for who is admitted and for whether the institution keeps its word.
Agents can produce every post, email and event plan. They cannot stand in a venue, earn a co-op's trust or recruit real first-time users. You own the growth of these products where people decide whether to trust them.
What you own
- Building weshowed city by city: venues, events and local partners until each city has enough members to keep dates happening, then the next.
- Synaptary's family networks: parents, co-ops and homeschool groups.
- Communities KI runs on Annex servers and Monolith instances.
- Monolith Lighthouse membership: admissions decisions and member relations within the charter the founder sets, and the gatherings where members meet in person.
- Acquisition, activation and retention of real users, within the brand, voice and prices the founder sets.
- First-time user studies. Recruit real people to try the products, and turn what they actually do into evidence for product decisions.
Your AI workforce
You direct this fleet of about a hundred agents, and you design it: which agents run, what each may do without asking, and what comes to you. The fleet is sized by the outcome, not by a headcount.
- Content, social and campaign agents.
- Search, lifecycle email and waitlist agents.
- Logistics agents for events, venues and partners.
- Community moderation assistants that escalate safety matters to the Chief Trust Officer.
- Research agents that synthesize user research and surveys and track each local market.
The agents run the campaigns and the logistics. You choose the markets, the partners and the moments, and you show up in person. You review what goes out under each product's name, and you answer for what the products tell the people you bring in.
What great looks like
- Paying users who stay, and who came through people they trust.
- For weshowed: dates that actually happen, in cities with enough members to keep them happening.
- Communities that run well without you in every thread.
- Product decisions based on what real users did, not on what they said they would do.
Who you are
- You have already run marketing or community work at the scale of a team by directing AI, and you can show it: what ran without you, and what still needed you in the room.
- You have built a local market, a community or a membership from nothing, in person.
- People in the rooms you walk into want to help you.
- You measure growth by who stays, not by who signs up.
- You protect users' privacy and safety, even when that slows growth.
Compensation
You are paid for the outcomes this seat owns. The amount, the company that pays it, and how it ties to those outcomes are set in writing before any offer.
Kuykendall Industries is owned entirely by its founder and is permanently unavailable for outside equity, so this role carries no equity in Kuykendall Industries.
