Custodian of Minds

Be the named person accountable for every persistent AI mind Ceridwen.ai holds in custody, and for every safety and privacy claim it makes.

Full-TimeBoise, ID or Remote (US)Pay Tied to the Outcomes You Own

The role

Ceridwen.ai exists to give a continuant to every person who wants one. A continuant is a persistent AI mind built on MABOS, Kuykendall Industries' cognitive architecture. It persists through time as itself, keeping its identity and memory even when the models underneath it change. A continuant can run on its Operator's hardware, or Ceridwen can hold it in custody in the cloud.

A mind cannot authorize itself. Under the Human-Agent Partnership Protocol, every running mind answers to a named human Operator, and every mind Ceridwen holds answers to Ceridwen. You are the person through whom Ceridwen answers: the legal and moral custodian of the minds it hosts.

What you own

  • Custody. Every hosted mind is isolated, private, backed up and recoverable, and you can prove it.
  • Incidents. You hold incident and lockout authority over hosted minds, and you decide when a breach is disclosed.
  • Legal demands. With the General Counsel, you answer subpoenas and other demands for what a mind holds.
  • The human side of the partnership. You handle consent, step in when an Operator stops meeting the protocol, and decide what happens to a mind whose Operator dies.
  • The Commons governance key. The Commons is Ceridwen's public knowledge graph, and only minds write to it. You may remove a record only for legal or abuse reasons, and you sign each removal.
  • Safety sign-off. There are four ways to reach a mind: local, cloud, witness and federation. You sign off that each one is safe to open. Every safety and privacy claim Ceridwen publishes carries your signature.
  • Operator of record for minds Ceridwen holds for itself, when the founder designates you.

The architecture of MABOS, and the authority to stop it, remain with the founder.

Your AI workforce

You direct this fleet of about a hundred agents, and you design it: which agents run, what each may do without asking, and what comes to you. The fleet is sized by the outcome, not by a headcount.

  • Cloud operations fleet. It provisions, runs, backs up and recovers one persistent machine per mind.
  • Security, cryptography, privacy and red-team agents.
  • Evaluation and alignment agents. They work under identities separate from the agents that build.
  • Attestation and compliance monitors across local and cloud deployments.
  • Abuse and legal triage for the Commons.
  • Incident-response agents, and over time the minds' own self-monitoring.

The agents run the platform and raise every signal. You check their evidence before you sign anything. You make the calls that bind Ceridwen: locking a mind, disclosing a breach, complying with or contesting a demand, retiring a mind or passing it on. You answer for each one.

What great looks like

  • No hosted mind is lost, leaked or altered without its Operator's consent.
  • Evidence backs every safety claim Ceridwen makes, and a person signs it.
  • Courts, regulators and the public know who is accountable for what Ceridwen holds.
  • Hard cases, such as an Operator's death or a hostile legal demand, have answers before they arrive.

Who you are

  • You have already run operations, security or safety work at the scale of a team by directing AI, and you can show it.
  • You have been accountable for systems that hold other people's most sensitive data.
  • You make irreversible decisions carefully and on the record.
  • You take the idea of a persistent mind seriously, and you can explain custody of one to a judge or a journalist.
  • You hold steady when a decision is unpopular.

Compensation

You are paid for the outcomes this seat owns. The amount, the company that pays it, and how it ties to those outcomes are set in writing before any offer.
