Commercial storefront and product brand — sovereign identity hardware
HardGap
Production commerce · hardware pre-manufacturing
The sovereign identity card: production commerce live today, titanium hardware entering manufacturing.
What It Is
HardGap is the commercial storefront for the Sovereign Identity Card — a titanium-encased, air-gapped hardware signer with an E Ink display, a certified secure element, NFC, and force-touch input. The storefront is a production commerce platform handling real money today: authenticated accounts, cart and checkout, Stripe billing, and an atomically enforced 100-unit Founders Edition.
Ghost Node is the software soul of the card — the firmware, the protocol, and a complete browser-based WASM simulator that runs the full firmware with hardware-accurate timing and trust boundaries. It is embedded live on the landing page: hold the card, press the zones, sign a transaction — before a single piece of titanium is cut.
Why It Exists
No central authority validates you. The math validates you. Building the firmware and simulator ahead of the hardware means the protocol is demonstrated, validated, and funded before manufacturing — pre-orders fund the hardware run.
What Exists Today
- Production commerce platform processing real money: Stripe-signature-verified webhooks, idempotent order processing, authenticated account dashboard
- Atomic Founders Edition inventory — a race-condition-proof counter capped at 100 units, with custom CNC engraving per Founders card
- Complete browser-based WASM firmware simulator embedded live, mirroring the firmware gesture vocabulary 1:1
- Exhaustive firmware state machine with zero wildcard arms; a secure-element trust boundary no raw key bytes ever cross
- 58-blockchain cold storage across three curve families; Shamir secret sharing; signed A/B firmware updates rooted in the Kuykendall Industries signing key
Current Operational Boundary
Production commerce · hardware pre-manufacturing
Commerce is live; the physical card is pre-manufacturing. Deposits apply toward the final price, and the remaining balance is charged when manufacturing begins.
Position in the Ecosystem
- Firmware trust root: the Kuykendall Industries signing key
- Groth16/BN254 proofs aligned with the fleet-wide zero-knowledge substrate
- Carries MCR — the Montopian Credit — as a first-class chain
