07 / The Civic Mesh
Monolith Index
Civic authority, made executable.
Identity, proposals, deliberation, verifiable voting, community currency and rights monitoring within a community’s own administrative boundary.
THE PURPOSE
Civilization needs institutions capable of correction. Participation, rights and accountability must have an inspectable path from principle to action.
Monolith Index is the backbone node of the Civic Mesh, implementing the Montopian Governance Model. It gives civic institutions machinery for participation, decisions, public accountability and federation on infrastructure they control.
Self-sovereign identity, zero-knowledge membership, bounded delegation and append-only public events support that structure. Human civic authority remains distinct from agent advice: an intelligence can contribute analysis without acquiring a citizen’s vote.
