Kuykendall Industries

IP Licensing Manager

Full-Time  |  Remote (US)  |  Equity + Salary Upon Revenue

The Role

MABOS is a ground-up cognitive architecture — 602,000+ lines of Rust, built by a single engineer, with its own governance and attestation framework. Kuykendall Industries owns this IP. Ceridwen.ai is the exclusive global commercial licensee. Your job is to protect, monitor, and enforce the license across every deployment, integration, and derivative work.

This is not a role where you draft templates and wait for legal review. You are the frontline of IP protection for foundational technology.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and enforce the MABOS license across all deployments and licensees
  • Track compliance obligations under the Ceridwen.ai exclusive license agreement
  • Identify unauthorized use, derivatives, or license violations across public and private channels
  • Coordinate with legal counsel on enforcement actions, amendments, and new licensing agreements
  • Maintain a licensing registry — who has access to what, under which terms, with which restrictions
  • Advise the founder on licensing strategy as the ecosystem expands

Requirements

  • 5+ years in IP management, software licensing, or technology law
  • Dual-licensing familiarity. You understand open-source licensing models, commercial license structures, and how they interact
  • Technical comprehension. You can read a software architecture overview and understand what constitutes a derivative work
  • Enforcement experience. You've identified and resolved license violations, not just drafted agreements
  • Attention to detail. One missed clause can cost millions. You don't miss clauses

Compensation

Equity in Kuykendall Industries and salary upon revenue. No salary today. This is a bootstrapped company. The founder has been building everything without funding, without a team, and without a paycheck from this entity. You enter that same environment.

Who this works for: Someone with savings, consulting income, or another reason they can afford to work for equity in the near term. Someone who looks at the scope of what's been built, understands the commercial potential, and makes a calculated bet.

Who this does not work for: Someone who needs a paycheck on day one. Someone who treats equity as a consolation prize. No judgment — but don't waste your time or ours.

The Builder Clause

We don't care where you went to school. We don't care if you went to school. Our founder is self-taught, started coding at 13, and built a 602,000-line cognitive architecture without a CS degree.

Meet the qualifications, or show us what you've built. Either path works. Both paths demand excellence.
