Constitutional Architect

Full-Time  |  Remote (US)  |  Equity + Salary Upon Revenue

The Role

You translate the foundational documents — the Montopian Governance Model, the Genesis record, the MABOS license — into enforceable, executable governance structures. You are part political theorist, part systems engineer, part constitutional lawyer. This role has no precedent because what we’re building has no precedent.

What You'll Do

  • Design governance structures that encode the principles of the founding documents into operational systems
  • Build constitutional frameworks for ecosystem decision-making, dispute resolution, and amendment processes
  • Develop formal specifications for governance mechanisms that can be audited and verified
  • Collaborate with legal and engineering teams to ensure governance is architecturally enforced, not just documented
  • Author governance documentation that is precise enough to implement and clear enough to understand

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in law, political science, philosophy, or institutional design
  • Published work or demonstrated expertise in constitutional design, mechanism design, or institutional economics
  • Formal specification ability — if you can’t express a governance rule as pseudocode, you can’t enforce it
  • Deep reading in democratic theory, cooperative governance, and commons management
  • You understand that a constitution is software for human coordination and you take that literally

Compensation

All positions include equity in Ceridwen.ai. Salaries are TBD and will be determined based on role scope, experience, and what you bring to the table. We will not insult you with a lowball offer, and we expect you not to waste our time with inflated expectations disconnected from contribution.

The Builder Clause

We don't care where you went to school. We don't care if you went to school. Our founder is self-taught, started coding at 13, and built a 602,000-line cognitive architecture without a CS degree.

Meet the qualifications, or show us what you've built. Either path works. Both paths demand excellence.
