Ceridwen.ai
Cognitive Architecture Researcher
Full-Time | Remote (US) | Equity + Salary Upon Revenue
The Role
You work on the core of MABOS — the inference loops, memory hierarchies, cognitive state management, and attention systems that make it a mind rather than a model. This is not prompt engineering. This is not fine-tuning. This is building the scaffolding of cognition.
What You'll Do
- Research and implement novel cognitive mechanisms within the MABOS architecture
- Design and build memory systems that persist, prioritize, and prune across sessions
- Develop attention and focus mechanisms for multi-modal cognitive processing
- Publish internal and external research on cognitive architecture advancements
- Collaborate directly with the Chief Research Scientist and founder on architectural direction
Requirements
- PhD or equivalent research depth in cognitive science, computational neuroscience, or AI
- Published work in cognitive architectures, memory systems, or related fields
- Systems programming background — you understand what happens below the abstraction layer
- Rust preferred. C/C++ experience with willingness to transition accepted
- You think about cognition as an engineering problem, not just an academic one
Compensation
All positions include equity in Ceridwen.ai. Salaries are TBD and will be determined based on role scope, experience, and what you bring to the table. We will not insult you with a lowball offer, and we expect you not to waste our time with inflated expectations disconnected from contribution.
The Builder Clause
We don't care where you went to school. We don't care if you went to school. Our founder is self-taught, started coding at 13, and built a 602,000-line cognitive architecture without a CS degree.
Meet the qualifications, or show us what you've built. Either path works. Both paths demand excellence.
